After the Nemo Demo

After Nemo Demo was complete, our last new window was installed by K and his Dad. This is exciting for many reasons.  One- it is the installation of our last beautiful Pella window all of which were bought the first summer of our project.  This means that this last window has been living in a construction zone for a long time and- now that the danger of the jinx is past I’ll say it- I am shocked that no disaster has befallen it.  Two- a lovely window and lovely sunlight in our reading nook.  Three- the placement and size of the windows in the front of the house returns the facade of the house back to what it looked like when it was first built.  (As mentioned in a previous post, that little bathroom window was making the house look squinty!)

After the window, project progress consists of the usual suspects- electrical rough-in, insulation, vapor barrier, gypsum wall board, and then a joint compounding party.
